The Dobcross Village Society is delighted to invite all members, supporters, and residents to its Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM) - a key event in the community calendar.
The meeting agenda will include:
• A review of the store’s financial performance
• A Question & Answer session
• Election of management committee members
• Updates on community involvement & initiatives
• Future strategy and goals
Refreshments will be provided, and everyone is warmly welcome — whether you're a long-time member, a new resident, or simply interested in supporting your community co-operative store.
It’s also a chance to find out how you can become a part of the success story by being part of the management committee - basically a group of individuals who want to keep the store and post office at the heart of the village.
You don’t need to give much time, the hard work has been done by the original crew, but if you can spare a little time, have lots of ideas, or simply want to be part of something wonderful then we need you!

On 6th April 2024, the Dobcross Village Store and Post Office became a community-owned co-operative. (Dobcross Village Society Ltd.)
Thanks to the generous contributions from our residents and supporters, Dobcross village store continues to provide a vital community service for the people of Dobcross, our Saddleworth neighbours, and visitors.
We are very grateful to be 'Funded by the UK Government' thanks to a successful grant application, which has helped with the store's refurbishment (February 2025).
Open seven days a week for your everyday essentials, postal and banking services, and more. We are a community co-operative venture, here to serve our local community with a smile. Pop in, do your shopping, stay for a chat, meet friends for coffee...
